Chi è Loom Design
Loom Design sogna, pensa, progetta e realizza gioielli in filati e metalli destinati solitamente alla maglieria, al ricamo e al bricolage: una specie di omaggio e esaltazione della bellezza intrinseca di questi materiali.
Quante volte vi siete fermanti ad ammirare gli scaffali delle mercerie e dei negozi di ferramenta? Loom Design lo fa da quando era bambina, quando ha iniziato a lavorare all’uncinetto, e un bel giorno ha deciso di far dialogare queste due passioni per dare vita alle sue collezioni fuori dagli schemi!
“Maglia bassa – profilo alto” è il suo motto perché la maglia bassa è il punto base che utilizza per tutte le sue creazioni [un piccolo affascinante nodo che declina in mille varianti di materiali e colori] ed il profilo alto è la voglia di riscatto per questi materiali a volte sottovalutati.
Coniugando gli studi di architettura, il lavoro da tecnico di stampa e l’amore per il design, progetta e realizza artigianalmente gioielli dalle forme essenziali che lasciano spazio alla bellezza del materiale e alle suggestioni dei suoi artisti preferiti senza dimenticare l’aspetto pratico, le rifiniture e la versatilità: ogni oggetto è leggero, lavabile, di facile manutenzione, durevole e a volte trasformabile per lasciare spazio alla fantasia del fruitore perché i veri protagonisti di questa storia siete voi!

How many times have you stopped to admire the shelves of haberdashers and hardware shops? Loom Design has been doing this since she was a child, when she started crocheting, and one fine day she decided to bring these two passions into dialogue to give life to her unconventional collections!
‘Low-knit – high profile’ is her motto because low-knit is the basic stitch she uses for all her creations [a charming little knot that she declines in a thousand variations of materials and colours] and high profile is the desire for redemption for these sometimes undervalued materials.
Combining his studies in architecture, his work as a printing technician and his love for design, he designs and handcrafts jewellery with essential shapes that leave room for the beauty of the material and the suggestions of his favourite artists without forgetting the practical aspect, the finishing touches and versatility: each object is light, washable, easy to maintain, durable and sometimes transformable to leave room for the user’s imagination because the real protagonists of this story are you!
